Class Clown
We all know them. Class clowns make us smile until their childish cringe-worthy antics create chaos in our lives. While their attempts to be noticed in the 3rd grade were entertaining, I don't appreciate those who carry their pre-puberty, clown-like talent into adulthood with stand-up comics, professional clowns, etc. being the exceptions.
Out-of-control class clowns of the adult world are an assault on rational, critical thinking, particularly in the world of politics. How come some clowns get elected? Perhaps it is that their inner class clown has escaped, and we just wish we were them.
